U-Line Wins Best of Year Award

MILWAUKEE, December 1, 2011 – U-Line’s Modular 3000 Series 36” Solid Door Refrigerator received the Best of Year Award from the preeminent competition recognizing superior design, sponsored by Interior Design Magazine.  Best of Year Product Design honorees were selected by interior designers and architects via an online vote October 3-10, and winners were determined by a jury of leading architects and designers.  The voting site received approximately 28,000 unique visitors and generated 65,000 votes.

Over 900 people from the design community gathered at the IAC Building in NYC, designed By Frank Gehry to celebrate the best projects and products of 2011.  Kevin Kinch, U-Line’s Industrial Design and Product Manager, and Matthew Dyer, U-Line’s Eastern Regional Sales Manager, were in attendance to accept this award on U-Line’s behalf.

This award is a testament to U-Line’s commitment to superior design and product innovation. The U-Line 3036RR not only looks great but is also the first modular product with customizable temperature controls, enabling you to have the right product in the right place at the right temperature.

The Modular 3000 Series 3036RR uses a digitally controlled convection cooling system that precisely chills food and beverages and maintains them at the perfect temperature.  The U-Select® Control for refrigerator models is programmed with five distinct modes for specific types of food, whether meat and dairy, fruits, vegetables or spices. Each mode has an optimal set point within a designated temperature range that provides flexibility for fine tuning and creates the perfect preservation environment; keeping food fresher longer and tasting better.

The 3036RR, available in stainless steel or overlay panel ready, is designed to integrate seamlessly into overlay/face frame, inset or European/frameless cabinet styles and install effortlessly into any standard 24” depth cabinet base. U-Line’s Modular 3000 Series provides the simplest method of adding custom overlay panels or frames and for that truly integrated look. A zero clearance, flush installation is easily achieved with our concealed and covered hinges, front ventilation system, adjustable and integrated overlay ready toe-kick, doors and rear leveling system that are all adjustable from the front of the unit.
